On the red carpet at the November 10th, 2021, the premiere of House of Gucci, Lady Gaga responded to a question about how she was able to portray Reggiani, saying "I don't believe in the glorification of murder. I do believe in the empowerment of women." She discussed how she attempted to make Reggiani's journey towards her ultimate murder of Gucci plausible. Video of the full quote was shared by The Economic Times on Facebook that evening.^[1] The same day, the clip was cut by TikTok user Yahoolife, gaining over 426,000 likes and 2.4 million views in one day (shown below).

The clip quickly inspired sketches on TikTok. For example, user cashmun3y posted a TikTok^[2] in which he lip-synced the quote over a set of movies in which women murder men, gaining over 113,000 likes in one day (shown below, left). The clip also saw use as a reaction video on Twitter.
