Lady Drawer is a series of parodies mocking a tweet that shows off a man's drawer designated for female guests equipped with face wipes, tampons, scrunchie, hairbrush, dildo, and two bottles of nail polish remover. The parodies were introduced on Twitter shortly after the original tweet in January 2020.
Origin
On January 11th, 2020, Twitter user @DaddyAllDay[1] shared a photo of a small drawer in which he keeps items for female guests with the caption, "I feel like every guy needs a “lady drawer” if you plan on having frequent guests" (shown below). The tweet gained over 18,800 likes and 2,600 retweets in five days.
Spread
On January 13th, 2020, Twitter user @starlessfuture_[2] responded to the tweet by saying, "Ah yes the classic etiquette advice: make all your female friends, family, and hookups feel at home with (checks notes) two bottles of nail polish remover, an open pregnancy test and a used dildo" (shown below). The tweet received over 4,400 likes and 140 retweets in three days.
On January 14th, Twitter user @warmfourloko[3] mocked @daddyallday by posting an image of a drawer holding a broken comb, a cue tip, and an empty can of Coors light and bottle of Dawn dish soap with the caption, "I feel like every girl needs a “fella drawer” if you plan on having frequent guests" (shown below, left). The tweet accumulated over 170,200 likes and 23,200 retweets in two days. The next day, Twitter user @teddyvalenzuela[4] also posted a parody of a lady drawer filled with cooked pasta (shown below, right). The tweet garnered over 143,900 likes and 24,300 retweets in a day.
