Origin

On October 6th, 2017, science fiction film Blade Runner 2049, a sequel to 1982 film Blade Runner, premiered.[1] In one scene of the film, replicant K, portrayed by Ryan Gosling, learns that he was not born from experimental replicant Rachel as he believed, but is instead an ordinary replicant. In the scene, K reacts by rubbing his face with his hands, nervously exhaling, screaming "god damn it" and kicking his chair in anger.

I know it's real. I know it's real. GOD DAMN IT!

Spread

Many users on reddit and the 4chan board /tv/ adopted this reaction as a manifestation of their "horniness and loneliness" using Gosling's anguish as a metaphor for their pent-up virginity
