King Charles Reincarnated as Trisha Paytas' Second Baby refers to a series of memes and jokes claiming that King Charles III will be reincarnated as Trisha Paytas' second child, Elvis. The memes started on February 5th, 2024 after it was announced that King Charles III was diagnosed with a form of cancer, Paytas being six months pregnant at the time, implying many assume Charles will die of cancer. The memes are a reference to a series of memes that were popularized in September 2022 joking that Queen Elizabeth was reincarnated as Trisha Paytas' first baby Malibu Barbie, with Queen Elizabeth dying shortly prior to Paytas going into labor.

In February 2022, a series of memes was popularized across social media suggesting that Queen Elizabeth II was reincarnated as Trisha Paytas' first baby, Malibu Barbie Paytas-Hacmon, who she was pregnant with at the time (examples shown below). Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8th, 2022 and Paytas gave birth on September 14th, 2022.

On January 17th, 2024, TikToker^[1] @holdensmith962 posted a video in reaction to the news that King Charles was undergoing surgery for an enlarged prostate, jokingly bringing up the meme and suggesting her second baby might reincarnate as King Charles, garnering over 500,000 views in a month (shown below). This is the earliest known version of the meme as applied to King Charles III.

King Charles' Cancer Diagnosis

On February 5th, 2024, it was reported that King Charles III had a form of cancer. That day, social media users revived memes about Queen Elizabeth's reincarnation as Malibu, this time joking that King Charles, who some assumed would die of cancer following the reports, would reincarnate as her second baby, Elvis. Paytas was six months pregnant with Elvis at the time the news was announced.

Two of the earliest examples of the memes were posted that day by X^[2]^[3] users @Love_Aston_ and @PigeonFeatherz at the same time, garnering over 6,400 likes and 3,400 likes respectively in under a day (shown below, left and right).

That same day, TikToker^[4] @sashasbrainz posted a meme that gained over 80,000 views in under three hours (shown below, left). Hours later, Paytas responded to the memes through TikTok,^[5] expressing some exhaustion over the meme and hoping that Charles makes a speedy recovery, saying that she believes in manifestation and worries that the meme will result in Charles' death, garnering over 60,000 views in under an hour (shown below, right).
