Spread

On December 21st, 2015, Kim Kardashian launched a series of emoji based on her likeness and the various signs and iconography of her brand, such as her crying face, her middle finger, a peach, a human buttocks in thong underwear and more (examples below).[1] In addition, the app allowed users to access a series of stickers and gifs. The emojis could then be accessed via the keyboard selector on iPhone.

That day, due to issues with downloading the app, possibly because of excessive traffic, Kardashian tweeted,[3] "Apple, I'm so sorry I broke your App Store!!!" The post (shown below, left) received more than 5,200 retweets and 13,000 likes in two years.

Later, she added,[4] "My Kimoji app will be up and running again soon! They are also working on fixing the search so u can easily find it!" The post (shown below, right) received more than 1,000 retweets and 5,500.

However, according to reports,[5] despite Kardashian's tweet, the App Store did not experience issues.
