About

Kim Kardashian Crying And Recording With Cell Phone refers to an image and video of Kim Kardashian crying with pride while recording her daughter, North West, performing with Kanye West at a Yeezy fashion show. The image is taken from a scene from Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The image took off on Twitter in late September of 2020, where users combined it with captions related to Kim's emotional state. This is the second meme featuring Kim Kardashian crying, the first being If You Know How I Feel Why Would You Say That.

Origin

On September 24th, 2020, "Paris, Puppies, and Pranks," the second episode of the 19th season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, aired on American television. During the episode, Kanye West holds a fashion show for his Yeezy line of clothes. At one point, he gets his daughter, North West, to come up to the stage and rap as the models show off their clothes. As the models walk by, North West sings, "What are those? These are clothes. Wow." Kim is shown filming the event, wiping away tears. The next day, the Daily Mail published an article[1] summarizing the episode, making specific mention of Kim crying during the fashion show. The article is accompanied by a screenshot of Kim crying while recording North West (shown below). This image is the primary one used in the Twitter memes.
