Kicking Corgi AI Video refers to an AI-generated video of a corgi dog wrapped in a newspaper getting kicked by a guy and then crying while bouncing up and down as the man walks away. The scene takes place on a rainy running track next to a blue and yellow-colored bench. The original viral video was posted to TikTok by user @user28372242447638 in April 2025. The video spread to Twitter / X and other social media sites in the following months. It was then turned into a GIF by other internet users, who used it as a reaction image in viral tweets, posts and memes in mid-2025.

Origin

On April 28th, 2025, TikToker[1] @user28372242447638 posted a video generated with artificial intelligence, showing a corgi getting kicked by a man and then crying. The scene is set on a rainy running track next to a blue and yellow-colored bench. Text at the top of the video read, "Reject violence and care for animals." Over three months, the video received roughly 11.1 million plays and 667,100 likes (shown below).

Spread

On June 20th, 2025, X[2] user @SleepyStudios1 used a GIF of the video in a tweet (shown below). X[3] user @Jaxxestapillado also used the GIF on June 20th. Both tweets received few likes, but in the replies, X[4] user @slingoandkoms claimed to have created the GIF in a private Discord server, providing screenshots.



On July 12th, X[5] user @BruhMeister993 tweeted the GIF, gaining over 9,200 likes in three days. Later on that same day, X[6] user @labyerenth tweeted the GIF, gaining over 12.6 million views and 24,000 likes, largely due to several viral quote-tweets that added captions to it.

For instance, on July 13th, 2025, X[7] user @UnusedModel quoted the post, writing, "Someone add impact frames to this," receiving over 126,000 likes in two days.

Later on July 14th, X[8] user @xiglove complied with @UnusedModel's request by adding anime impact frames, gaining over 45,000 likes in a day (shown below).



On July 13th, 2025, X[9] user @holeliker captioned it, "This happens to me every day of my fucked up miserable life," gaining over 24,000 likes in two days (shown below).
