Kenny G Rose Room refers to the surprise Valentine's Day gift to Kim Kardashian West from husband Kanye West. The gift was a private concert performed by American smooth jazz saxophonist Kenny G surrounded by roses in West's living room.

Origin

On February 14th, 2019, Kim Kardashian West^[1] posted a video to Twitter with the caption "NO BIG DEAL KENNY G IN MY LIVING ROOM!!! Happy Valentines Day 💋💋💋" (shown below). The tweet accumulated 72,740 retweets and 485,739 likes in a day.

Soon after, Kim posted two more tweets of the Kenny G performance, with Kenny G playing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" (shown below) and a third tweet stating "Best husband award goes to mine 🙋🏻‍♀️!!!! Most thoughtful gifts ever!!!!" The tweet garnered over 8,000 retweets and 111,000 likes in a day.

Kenny G^[3] used Twitter to document his Valentine's Day. He tweeted a video in which he states, "guess which house I'm going to first" (shown below).

That same day, Kenny G^[4] replied to West's first tweet with "Thanks for having me be a part of your Valentine's Day 🎷🌹" (shown below, left). The tweet gained over 1,000 retweets and 8,700 likes in a day. Chrissy Teigen ^[5] also responded to West's tweet by saying "did Kenny have to stand there while the flowers were being set up? How did he get out? we need more info on kenny!!!" Her reply accumulated 2,300 retweets and 53,800 likes in a day (shown below, right).

After West posted Kenny's performance in her home, Twitter Headquarter's^[7] reached out on Twitter asking Kenny G to come visit (shown below).

The Late Show had Kenny G play in a similar rose-surrounded set up to Ray Romano (shown below).

On February 15th, late night show host and comedian Conan O'Brian ^[2] tweeted "Kenny G is in my living room right now, and he won’t leave until I answer his three riddles" (shown below, left). The tweet gained 2,000 retweets and 27,000 likes within the day. Twitter user @ItsAMeryLife responded with an edited picture of Weird Al Yankovic performing in West's rose covered living room. The reply accumulated 6 retweets and 110 likes that day (shown below, right).

On February 15th, Stepney Cook started a Change.org petition^[6] (shown below). The description reads, "Kenny G is trapped in Kim Kardashian's living room. We insist that she releases him to roam freely once more."
