Kai Cenat Tongue Out Face, also known as Kai Cenat Yawn or Kai Cenat Stretching, refers to multiple images of Twitch streamer Kai Cenat with his mouth wide open, tongue out and his hands behind his back, making a face that looks objectively crazy. The images were screenshotted from various livestreams of Cenat in 2022 and 2023, and they predominantly trended on Twitter where they were used as reaction images in replies. The images were also used as exploitables or were paired with captions that used the screenshots to describe an emotion. Many online used Zoomer slang terms for their captions, such as rizz, gyatt and Ohio. Others online also humorously criticized Cenat for making the face so often and doing it in the first place.

Origin

The first "tongue out" face made by Kai Cenat was screenshotted from a Grand Theft Auto V stream for AMP Game Night that originally streamed on December 29th, 2022.^[1] Although both Cenat's and AMP's videos of the Game Night have since been deleted from Twitch, clips of Cenat's stream during the AMP Game Night were posted on TikTok^[2]^[3] in late December 2022. Months later, on June 6th, 2023, after the "tongue out" image had become a notable meme on Twitter, Twitter^[4] user @ButtermilkCart tweeted the original clip but later deleted it. It was reposted by larger and more notable Twitter accounts, like Twitter^[5] user @upblissed on June 7th, 2023 (shown below).

Currently, the earliest-discovered sharing of the "tongue out" screenshot was posted by Twitter^[6] user @dasexybrownskin on April 11th, 2023, who captioned it, "when he hittin from the back and grabs my arms 😏😏😏," gaining roughly 4,200 likes in two months (shown below, left).

Spread

Soon after, many Twitter users started using the "tongue out" image. For instance, on April 12th, 2023, Twitter^[7] user @domainsdomain replied to @unblissed with the image, related to a Sneako tweet, gaining over 2,000 likes in two months (shown below, left). In late May 2023, the image gained more popularity. For instance, on May 29th, 2023, Twitter^[8] user @alexsbiggestf4n tweeted, "only in ohio rizz… gyatttt!!!!" gaining roughly 1,700 likes in 10 days (shown below, right).

Going into June 2023, the screenshot gained more viral usage, most notably when Twitter^[9] user @tize4PF tweeted, "bro dis pic pisses me off so much," gaining roughly 20,500 likes in three days (shown below, left). Then, on June 6th, 2023, Twitter^[10] user @tize4PF quote retweeted himself with a new screenshot of Cenat making the same face, writing, "dude another one??" and gaining roughly 47,000 likes in two days (shown below, right).

The new "tongue out" image (shown below) was stripped from a recent stream of Cenat's (reposted to TikTok^[11]) in which he was discussing a new Ice Spice video with fellow streamer YourRage.

Around the same time, on June 4th, 2023, Twitter^[12] user @scubaryan_ tweeted a YouTube^[13] thumbnail of Cenat with a similar face, writing, "this image needs to be banned from the internet," gaining roughly 19,200 likes in four days (shown below, left).

Viral tweets^[14] about the images persisted on Twitter going into June 2023.
