Origin

It is unclear who exactly started the "'Just X' Brutal" meme. On June 7th, 2025, TikToker^[1] @juster.patel posted a video of a disposable shaving razor next to an electric razor, writing, "Just shave dude" in the description and captioning the video itself "brutal," garnering over 900,000 views in three months. This is one of the earliest known versions of the meme.

Spread

The meme continued to spread over the following months in mid-to-late 2025, primarily on TikTok.

On June 8th, 2025, TikToker^[2] @zimmuu posted a video of a strong, white cow standing in a field of other cows reading, "'Just eat more grass bro' brutal," garnering over 1.9 million views in three months.

On July 3rd, TikToker^[3] @daxlift posted a video of two trees, one large and one small, captioned, "'Just have more branches' brutal," garnering over 297,000 views in two months.
