About
Just Like The Simulations is a memorable quote uttered by the Clone Trooper (voiced by Dave Boat) from the 2005 video game Star Wars: Battlefront II. The quote is used alongside a capture from the game depicting a clone as a reaction image to an above caption or screenshot, typically to show how a situation or event in real life mimics something done virtually. It can also be used without the image as a standalone catchphrase.
Origin
The original image and line that the meme references are pulled from Star Wars: Battlefront II, released on November 1st, 2005. The screenshot used features the standard Soldier Class Clone Trooper running on the Geonosis map with the caption “Just like the simulations,” which is one of many iconic voice lines from actor Dave Boat, who was responsible for all of the Clone Trooper lines in the game (featured below). In the context of the Star Wars universe, the line is a reference to how clones trained in various battle simulations so they were prepared for real combat.
