July 15th at 3:00 AM, Judgment Day or July 15 3AM Doomsday refers to a series of doomsday POV memes on TikTok depicting someone waking up at 3 a.m. on July 15th, 2023, to find that it's the biblical rapture or judgment day. The memes became popularized on TikTok in mid-July 2023.
Origin
On July 5th, 2023, TikToker[1] @guapstation posted a meme featuring the caption, "Pov: July 15th, 2023" over an animation from the Call of Duty: Black Ops III Salvation DLC trailer in which a man floats, goes outside and then destroys the world using magical powers, garnering over 250,000 views in a week (shown below, left). The same TikToker[2] posted a similar video later that day, garnering over 3.5 million views in the same span of time (shown below, right). The videos notably use the hashtag "#judgementday."
Spread
The meme spread across TikTok over the following days leading up to July 15th, 2023. For example, on July 8th, 2023, TikToker[3] @jin.___.sakai posted a version of the meme that gained over 480,000 views in four days (shown below, left). On July 9th, TikToker[4] @jhqod posted a version that gained over 283,000 views in three days (shown below, right).
