Jon Stewart Knicks Reaction refers to an image of comedian Jon Stewart expressing disappointment while attending an NBA basketball game between the Golden State Warriors and the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York.

Origin

On February 26th, 2018, Jon Stewart and several other famous comedians attended a basketball game between the Golden State Warriors and the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. During the game, Warriors player Javale McGee hit a desperation fadeaway jump shot. The camera then panned to Stewart, sitting in the front row, held his head in his hands in disbelief.

Once the moment was posted to Twitter, users joked about Stewart's reaction of disappointment. Many users joked that Stewart's reaction was emblematic of most Knicks fans' reactions to the team's losing 2017-2018 season. Twitter user @SigiLK[1] tweeted a joke like that, gaining over 150 retweets and 870 likes (shown below, left). Daily Beast editor Marlow Stern[2] also made such a joke, gaining 10 retweets and 43 likes (shown below, right).



Other Twitter users joked about Stewarts reaction by adding different contexts to it.
