About
Jollibot or Jollibee Robot is a robot server used by the Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee that delivers food to customers' tables. In April 2022 the robot became the subject of Robot Fetishism anthropomorphic fan art and rule 34, often depicting it as a humanoid, sexually appealing female or male robot.
Origin
On April 20th, 2022, the Philippine Star Facebook[1] page posted a video showing a robotic Bellabot server labeled "Jollibot," created by PuduRobotics,[9] with a digitized cat face on it and several food trays moving to a table at a Jollibee restaurant to serve a customer (shown below, reuploaded to YouTube). The Facebook post gained over 238,000 reactions and 8.1 million views in a week.
Spread
On April 22nd, 2022, Twitter[2] user @bakuatsukiyu posted a piece of fan art depicting the Jollibot as an anthropomorphic female robot holding a tray of Jollibee, writing, "the new jollibot kinda cute😳," gaining over 21,000 likes and 2,600 retweets in five days (shown below).
That day, several other artists on Twitter,[3][4][5] including @Waddle_Midori, @JayHeartwing and @Xkit_Art25 posted fan art depicting Jollibot as a female humanoid robot with a serving tray (shown below respectively).
On April 23rd, Facebook[7] and Twitter[8] user Jiggernut posted a piece of Jollibot art, gaining over 1,200 reactions and 115 shares on the former. On April 25th, Twitter[6] user @apoloniodraws posted a version of Jollibot as a robotic spider, gaining over 50 likes in three days (shown below).
