The original video was posted to TikTok by TikToker Mr. Dallas (@_b.dallas) in early August 2025. Johntontraviontavious was the last character in the video skit about a teacher mispronouncing names on the first day of school. The clip of Johntontraviontavious saying his name spread as an exploitable video element in a series of brainrot edits in the following weeks.

On August 8th, 2025, TikToker^[1] Mr. Dallas (@_b.dallas) posted a video skit about mispronouncing students' names on the first day of school. The last character in the sketch was a white boy with a fluffy mullet haircut. His name was "Johntontraviontavious," which he says in the video. In a month, the video received over 627,700 likes.

On August 9th, 2025, TikToker @simona1020304 left a comment on the abovementioned video, attaching a screenshot of Johntontraviontavious without a caption. Over one month, the comment received over 81,800 likes.

On August 15th, TikToker^[2] @voidfoolraps posted a video that sped up and replayed the clip of Johntontraviontavious saying his name, gaining over 403,400 likes in a month.

On August 27th, 2025, TikToker^[3] @user14n5w9jpsd posted a video using the Johntontraviontavious clip, showing it in multiple colors like red, blue and purple. Over two weeks, the video gained roughly 104,200 likes.

On August 28th, TikToker^[4] @oswaldjones00 shared a brainrot edit that also repeated the clip multiple times and added filters and effects to it, like giving Johntontraviontavious' face lipstick and eyeliner. Over 13 days, the video received roughly 41,300 likes.
