Jim Kardashian is the name given to a character created by TikTok content creator Frankie LaPenna in mid-2021 in which a fictionalized version of himself as an extra thicc man with butt padding, who is often protected by security guards in various skit and prank videos. Since the creation of the character, Jim Kardashian has been featured in many videos on Frankie's channel and in live appearances, especially seen doing humorous antics in the back of live news coverage.

Origin

On August 16th, 2021, Frankie LaPenna uploaded a TikTok^[1] to his channel titled "Haters Will Say It's Fake…" in which he does an example of a "Never Zero" meme, saying that the chances of the boyfriend having a bigger butt than the girlfriend are low, but never zero, quickly going on to earn over 5 million likes in one year (shown below).

The character would officially be named Jim Kardashian^[2] on September 20th, 2021, in which part two of an earlier video of him walking around the streets of Michigan with his first security detail, earning himself over 11.6 million views in one year (shown below).

Following this, he would then feature multiple videos of him with varying degrees of security escorts while he walked, and sometimes sprinted across busy pedestrian areas filming the reactions of nearby people. On October 27th, 2021, LaPenna attempted to use the character in a TikTok^[3] cideo in which he tried going through a TSA checkpoint and was filmed being escorted to a back room, getting over 24 million views in one year (shown below).
