Jesus vs 5,000 Satans is a phrase said by the Brazilian streamer RanvitGamer during a gameplay video of the Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator game. A clip in which the streamer says the catchphrase became a viral audio on TikTok in February 2022, inspiring memes and comedy skit videos on the platform.

Origin

On February 2nd, 2023, the Brazilian streamer @ranvitgamer^[1] posted a TikTok^[2] of a fictional battle between Jesus and 5,000 Satans. The video received 1.9 million plays and 191,100 likes in one month (seen below).

Spread

The video created a notable TikTok audio, being used in comedy skit videos on the platform. For example, TikTok^[3] user @erensgirlf did a pov with overlay text saying "pov: the video that the kid next to you is watching starts to get a little too interesting." Uploaded on March 4th, 2023, the video (seen below, left) garnered 2.9 million likes and 672,000 likes in three weeks. Another instance of the sound's usage was posted by TikTok^[4] user @lucasformicoli on March 16th, in which he talks about college essays to finish and other responsibilities to attend to, however, he is watching TikToks all night. The video (seen below, right) received 955,000 plays and 194,200 likes in five days.
