JDM the MC Brazilian Fortnite Dance Videos or Brazilian Fry refers to a series of viral videos recorded from TikToker JDM the MC's (@mc.jdm) TikTok LIVE streams in which he makes Fortnite character skins, including Goku and Fry, dance on-beat to various songs, moving the game's camera in time with each song. The videos became popularized on TikTok in May 2023 and spread across social media over the following months.

Origin

It is unclear when JDM the MC began streaming himself doing Fortnite dances. The earliest known viral example was posted by numerous TikTokers,^[1] including @nobody.luvs.uu, on May 15th, 2023, and shows JDM the MC making a Fortnite player with a Goku asking dance to "RITMADINHA DANÇANTE" by DJ GUDOG, garnering over 3.2 million views in three months (shown below).

Spread

On July 29th, 2023, X^[2] user @abeltopia shared a video of JDM the MC making the Fry Fortnite skin dance, writing, "I been mesmerized by brazilian fry for 15 minutes," garnering over 15,000 likes in three weeks. On July 30th, TikToker^[4] @41abel posted a video of Fry dancing that garnered over 17 million views in the same span of time (shown below).

On August 14th, X^[3] user @porgiexd posted another clip of JDM dancing, this time with another person in the Fry skin, writing, "HOW IS HE HITTING EVERY BEAT???" garnering over 74,900 likes in a day (shown below).
