On March 20th, 2020, Netflix premiered the docuseries Tiger King. The series introduces the interviewee James Garretson, an FBI informant and former strip club owner, in a slow-motion shot of him riding a jet ski (clip below).

Following the release of the series, people began meme-ing the scene in various formats, including remix videos and reaction images and videos.

One of the earliest was published on March 23rd by Twitter user @AnthonyMelill0 tweeted the video with the caption "Me, after months of quarantine, heading into summer @netflix #TigerKing." The tweet received more than 2,400 views in less than two weeks (shown below).
