Jah, I'm Hungry refers to a multi-panel image depicting an interaction between musician Billie Eilish and late rapper XXXTentacion, in which Eilish says "I'm Hungry" and XXXTentacion responds with a dad joke. Starting in February 2019, the image and its cropped version were circulated as exploitables.

Origin

On February 23rd, 2019, Instagram^[1] user billiesstar uploaded a six-panel image of a fictional conversation between singer Billie Eilish and late rapper Jahseh "XXXTentacion" Onfroy, in which the latter responded to Eilish with a dad joke. An extra panel was included in the post as an additional slide (shown below, right). The post gained over 470 likes in three weeks.

In the following days, the image was reposted by multiple Instagram meme pages,^[2] with several highly-upvoted posts also appearing on Reddit.^[3][4]

As the image gained popularity, various edits of the original post were created by the Instagram users. On February 27th, Instagram^[5] user vrutha posted one of the earliest versions of the meme in which the last panel was replaced with footage of a person appearing to be suspended in the air.

In the following weeks more edits of the meme, including those in which the bottom two panels were cut off, were posted on Instagram and Reddit. In some examples, XXXTentacion panels in the original were replaced with the same image or video.
