On October 5th, 2025, news website Antipolygraph[1] published an article about how DHS Secretary Kristi Noem was creating a department-wide polygraph screening program that would include questions about whether employees were leaking information to the media or any non-profits. The article included a photo of Iwona B. Horyn, who was identified as a career DHS security official who was the acting Chief Security Officer at the time, according to the DHS website.



Iwona B. Horyn's name also appears on the "Leadership" page of the official Department of Homeland Security[2] website as "(acting) Chief Security Officer."



Iwona B. Horyn's LinkedIn[3] page reflects her nearly two-decade-long career as a bureaucrat in Washington, D.C.



The earliest known repost of the photo is a November 25th, 2025, post by X[4] user @KLobstar that read, "listen, I don’t usually straight make fun of how someone looks but girl you are straight out of Garry's Mod," gathering over 3,000 likes in a day.
