It's Aborted TikTok is a viral TikTok video in which a girl goes to a doctor to supposedly find out the gender of her baby and reveals in a sign that "it's a… borted." The video went viral on Twitter in February 2020 and the TikToker revealed that the video was fake and she was going to the doctor because she was severely constipated.

Origin

On February 8th, 2020, Twitter user @iheartmindy reposted TikToker @wren's video that has since been deleted (shown below). @iheartmindy captioned the video by saying, "There’s nothing I can say about this degenerate broad that won’t get me kicked off Twitter." The video gained over 14,000 likes and 3,800 retweets in six days.

Spread

On February 8th, 2020, The Republican Party Facebook^[1] group reposted the video and gained over 17,000 reactions in six days. The next day, Twitter user and priest @FatherLeoFeeds^[2] tweeted, "Saw a @tiktok_us video of a woman going through steps of determining her baby’s gender, only to show the medical background was an abortion clinic. She ends video w/a sign saying, her baby’s gender was 'aborted.'" (shown below, left). The tweet received over 1,500 likes in five days. That day, Twitter user @SunjazzD^[3] shared a screenshot of a post made by the TikToker @wren stating that the video was a joke and that she went to the doctor because she was severely constipated (shown below, right). Twitter user @SunjazzD captioned the screenshot, "Update: Supposedly the person that posted this on Tik Tok released a statement admitting that it's fake. I still think there's a good chance this may be the work of an anti-abortion person though. But yes it's fake" (shown below, right).
