Origin

On February 18th, 2007 YouTube Pooper Bobomb99 uploaded his first version video showing a scene from the 1991 TV series Super Mario World. Luigi over-repeats his phrase Or is it the bagle by replacing the word "bagle".

Spread

Another YouTube Pooper called MetallicCookies used the term [item] and uploaded his video on the May 6th, 2007 showing a scene from the Zelda CD-i game.

Later, other YouTube Poopers started to mimicking the style of the video by using other scenes.
