IS SHE TALKING ABOUT ME? refers to a viral post by former President Donald Trump on his Truth Social account during Kamala Harris's speech at the 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC), which featured criticisms of Trump, his administration and his plans should he win the 2024 United States Presidential Election. The post struck many as humorous and led to it being used as a caption and catchphrase alongside different images in memes in late August 2024.

Origin

On August 22nd, 2024, Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris delivered a speech accepting the nomination for President at the 2024 Democratic National Convention (shown below). During the speech, she made several criticisms of Donald Trump's record as President and some of the promises of his current campaign.

While she was criticizing Trump, he took to his Truth Social account^[1] and posted, "IS SHE TALKING ABOUT ME?" gaining over 2,600 retruths and 17,000 likes in one day (shown below).

The post was seen as unintentionally humorous on Twitter / X and other platforms. In the hours after it was posted, many users posted jokes about it. For example, on August 22nd, 2024, two minutes after Donald Trump made the post, Twitter user @RonFilipowski^[2] reposted it with multiple Crying Laughing emojis, gaining over 2,400 retweets and 25,000 likes in one day (shown below).

Shortly after on August 22nd, Twitter user @cbouzy^[4] commented that Kamala Harris had "broken Trump's brain," gaining over 690 retweets and 6,100 likes in one day (shown below).

On August 23rd, 2024, Twitter user @muzach^[3] used the quote with the Trump / Lawn-mowing Boy image, gaining over 10 retweets and 50 likes in roughly 11 hours (shown below).
