Irena Aizen Rabbit Paintings, also known as Irena Aizen Bunny Art, refers to a series of object-labeling image macro memes using surrealist rabbit paintings by Israeli artist Irena Aizen. The paintings gained virality in late January 2025, especially on TikTok, being used as reaction images, exploitables and other memetic formats usually portraying the rabbits in brainrot-related content.
Origin
Contemporary Israeli artist Irena Aizen has been painting rabbits[1] since 2010, as her earliest known illustration, titled "Dancing Twins," featuring surrealist rabbits was posted on the online art gallery ArtMajeur (seen below).

Online, Aizen's portfolio[2] of surreal rabbit paintings can be tracked to March 2nd, 2017, featuring several other illustrations of pink-colored rabbits with enormous human-like eyes.

On January, 21st, 2025, TikTok[3] user @avrie.mahoney posted one of Irena's rabbit paintings, adding the text "me and twin after saying something at the same time then thinking we are sharing brain cells." The image is accompanied by the brainrot audio "Red Light Green Light Korean version" by TikToker raniel.herco, originally from Squid Game. The post (seen below) amassed more than 16 million plays and 4 million likes in five days.

In the following days, Irena Aizen's rabbit paintings gained traction on TikTok as users began creating brainrot memes using her artwork as a backdrop for relatable, often funny content.
For example, on January 23rd, 2025, TikTok[4] user @.tehefranzitehe uploaded a painting of twin humanoid rabbits with big blue eyes, captioning it, "me and my sibling after my mom told us to stop fighting (we were talking to each other normally)," which received over 15 million plays and 3.7 million likes in three days.

On the same day, TikTok[5] user @skibiditoilet69420 shared a painting of a pink rabbit in a dress accompanied by a pet seal. The painting is paired with the text, "my dad with the pet he didn't want," which amassed roughly 3.3 million plays and 850,000 likes in three days.
