Invisible Challenge

Invisible Challenge, not to be confused with the Invisible Family Member Prank. refers to a series of videos in which people cover doorways in clear plastic wrap and attempt to get their dogs to figure out how to get past the obstacle.

Origin

On July 2nd, 2019, Twitter and Instagram user tuckerbudzyn posted a video in which people attempted to fool their dog, Tucker, by covering an entrance in their home with plastic wrap. They then annotated the video with Doggo speak. The video gained over 1.6 million views on Instagram^[1] and 8,300 retweets and 31,000 likes on Twitter (shown below).

Spread

Over the following several days, many other social media users recreated the challenge with their dogs. On Twitter, some popular examples include videos posted by @afyz___, gaining over 1,400 retweets and 5,700 likes (shown below, top) and @JoshMalan, gaining over 1,200 retweets and 8,500 likes (shown below, bottom).

On Instagram, popular videos include posts by marleyandmeinnyc, gaining over 91,000 views (shown below, left), charlie_the_golden18, gaining over 182,000 views (shown below, center), and samoyedpage, gaining over 113,000 views (shown below, right). Jokes were covered by the Daily Dot.^[2]
