I'm This Clingy is a redraw meme format based on a selfie photograph of a woman looking at her phone while a man's head is squeezed between her thighs, captioned, "Im this clingy😂." The photo without the caption originally started spreading online in 2018 and was popularized as a redraw meme in October 2025 after it was reposted by X / Twitter user @Mythicalblue_, with many of the redraws portraying popular ship pairings.

Origin

On June 19th, 2018, Tumblr^[1] user nagask posted a selfie photograph of a man whose head is lying between a woman's thighs as the woman browses her phone, garnering over 9,100 notes in seven years. This is the earliest known user to post the image, although it is unclear if it is the true origin.

The image spread over the following years. For example, on September 30th, 2018, it was reposted by deactivated Tumblr^[2] user s1nmiedo, gaining over 17,000 notes in seven years.

On October 1st, 2025, X^[3] user @Mythicalblue_ posted a version of the meme with the added overlayed caption, "Im this clingy😂," garnering over 46,000 likes and 5,700 reposts in about two weeks.

The October 1st, 2025, post by @Mythicalblue_ inspired a wave of redraws that month, mainly on X / Twitter.

On October 3rd, 2025, Instagram^[4] user sarcaxmic reposted a screenshot of the tweet, garnering over 4,200 likes in two weeks. On October 5th, X^[5] user @VillainPencils posted a redraw of the meme replacing the couple with Harley Quinn and Ivy from the Batman series, garnering over 61,000 likes in two weeks.

On October 9th, X^[6] user @Rezijellyfish0 posted a redraw of the meme referencing the Jujutsu Kaisen ship SatoSugu, garnering over 45,000 likes in a week.

On October 15th, X^[7] user @juniperoxi posted a redraw of the meme replacing the man and woman with the characters Luna Snow and Magik from Marvel Rivals, garnering over 24,000 likes in two days.

On October 16th, 2025, Bluesky^[8] user jordan-d-64 posted a redraw of the meme featuring Fire Emblem characters, which was reposted to the /r/fireemblem^[9] subreddit that day, garnering over 1,100 upvotes in a day.

Later that day, X^[10] user @OmyChan2 posted a redraw of the meme featuring Princess Bubblegum and Marceline from Adventure Time, garnering over 121,000 likes in a day.
