I'm Only Human, After All refers to a series of memes using a scene from the music video for "Human" by Rag'n'Bone Man in which the camera spins around the singer as he sings "I'm only human, after all" as an exploitable alongside captions about doing something unhinged, violent or illegal. The format became popularized on TikTok in early 2023.

Origin

On October 27th, 2022, TikToker^[1] @sigurson01 posted a video captioned, "When you name yourself giganigga i Kahoot quiz," over a clip from the Rag'n'Bone Man music video for "Human," showing him singing, "I'm only human, after all," garnering over 24,000 views in four months (shown below, left). This is the earliest known use of the meme. The meme became further popularized in early 2023 along with a specific clip from the music video where the camera spins around the singer as he sings the same lyrics. For example, on February 2nd, TikToker^[2] @luv.user_ posted a meme like this, garnering over 4,600 views in four days. (shown below, right).

On February 5th, 2023, TikToker^[3] @goredrinker.mp4 posted a version of the meme that garnered over 1.1 million views in two days (shown below, left). On February 6th, TikToker^[4] @3kzegoat posted a version that gained over 186,000 views in a day (shown below, right).
