About
I'm About to Be Raptured Up to Heaven refers to a series of four-panel exploitable webcomics based on an installment of Cyanide and Happiness.
Origin
On November 30th, 2018, Cyanide and Happiness[1] published a comic in which a character is both rejected from heaven and hell during the rapture. However, instead of going to either places for their afterlife, the character is sent to Nebraska against their wishes (shown below).
Spread
That day, Redditor [2] gregg104 posted the comic on the /r/MemeEconomy subreddit, where it received more than 34,000 points (88% upvoted) and 1,900 comments in five days.
The following day, Redditor[3] SteelSmasher93 posted a version of the comic in the /r/destiny2 subreddit. The post received more than 1,000 points (98% upvoted) in three days (shown below, left). Over the next few days, variations of the comic continued to be shared throughout Reddit, changing the place where the character was sent (example below, center and right).
