I'm a Witch and I'm Evil is a catchphrase associated with a series of exploitable image macros in which the question, "Are you a tits or an ass guy?" is presented as top text, followed by an inserted character responding, "I'm a witch and I'm evil." The meme was originally posted to iFunny in August 2022 with rapper DaBaby saying the line, gaining viral spread and inspiring new variations over the following years, with the phrase itself also becoming popularized outside of the format.

Origin

On August 16th, 2022, iFunny^[1] user highlights posted an image macro in which rapper DaBaby responds, "I'm a witch and I'm evil" to the question, "DaBaby, are you a tits or an ass guy?" with the bottom text "Why did he say this?" presented along the bottom of the meme. The post gained over 3,100 smiles in two years (shown below).

Spread

The meme gained viral spread over the following years, inspiring variations replacing DaBaby with another character. On September 27th, 2023, Redditor u/tinylittleinchworm posted a version to the subreddit /r/2hujerk,^[2] garnering over 170 upvotes in nine months (shown below, left). On January 13th, 2024, a version of the meme was posted to /r/Frieren^[3] that gained over 450 upvotes in five months (shown below, right).

On June 8th, 2024, X^[4] user @gaycocksexdick posted a piece of artwork depicting a witch, captioning it, "I'm a witch and I'm evil," garnering over 1,200 likes in six days (shown below). On June 11th, X^[5] user @AnimeSerbia reposted the original DaBaby meme, garnering over 15,000 likes in three days.
