About

If You See More Than Three Of These In Her Apartment, also known as If You See More Than Three Of These In His Apartment, is an exploitable template that identifies red flags in a person's residence, similar to the Red Flags In My Room trend but more aligned aesthetically with Starter Packs. The template originated from Instagram in early 2022 in which meme creators replaced the objects and concepts in the template and recaptioned the existing text.

Origin

On April 15th, 2022, Instagram[1] page northwest_mcm_wholesale posted a meme with text reading, "If You See More Than Three Of These In Her Apartment: / You Need To Get The Fuck Out Of There," inserting between the top and bottom captions multiple signifiers of a specific type of woman. Among the signifiers were a Joan Didion book, a checkered rug and a Ssense mug, among others. Over the course of five days, the meme received roughly 5,800 likes (shown below).

However, in the description of the post, northwest_mcm_wholesale stated, "Valuable red flag research provided by @softbrutalist," which tagged the Instagram[2] user softbrutalist. The meme was most likely created by them and posted on their story sometime on either April 14th or 15th, 2022.

Spread

On April 15th, 2022, the meme was then reposted by Instagram[3] account diallectuals, who earned over 700 likes in five days. On April 16th, Instagram[4] page actorscellectuals posted an exploited version of the original template, earning over 470 likes in four days and being the first meme creator to re-edit the template (shown below).

On April 17th, Instagram[5] page northwest_mcm_wholesale posted a new version of their meme, replacing the word "her" with "his" and earning roughly 3,500 likes in three days (shown below, left). On April 18th, Instagram[6] page moverandshakerco posted a version of the "His" template, earning roughly 3,800 likes in two days (shown below, right).

Instagram creators continued to use the template going into April 2022 with the recaptioning of the text becoming increasingly absurd and complicated.
