About
If We're Gonna Date You May Have to Defeat My Seven Evil Exes or If You Want to Be My Boyfriend, You Have to Defeat My Seven Evil Exes refers to a series of exploitable memes, including image macros, based on a line of dialogue from the 2010 movie Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World using the phrasal template "If you want to X you have to Y." Memes using the phrasing have appeared online as early as November 2021 and were further popularized on X (Twitter) in November 2023 following the release of the anime series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.
