Ice Spice Cult

Ice Spice Cult, also known as the Munchkins or Munchies, refers to a TikTok cult comprised of TikTokers with Ice Spice PFPs (profile pictures), specifically one showing Ice Spice with straight hair, a Power Puff Girls-style chain and a disgusted look on her face. The cult surfaced in February 2023, rivaling the then-recent A-Train Cult. Multiple videos surfaced about the cult as TikTokers joined it, earning them hundreds of followers akin to the pact made by the cult.

Origin

On February 11th, 2023, Ice Spice posted a TikTok^[1] with her then-recent song "Boy's a liar Pt. 2" with PinkPantheress. The TikTok gained roughly 22 million plays and 4.1 million likes in 19 days (shown below, left). On February 12th, 2023, TikToker^[2] @ice.spice_forthewin posted a video that started the Ice Spice cult. TikToker @ice.spice_forthewin included a screenshot from Ice Spice's February 11th TikTok. Over the course of 18 days, the video received roughly 378,600 plays and 27,700 likes (shown below, right).

Spread

After TikToker^[2] @ice.spice_forthewin's video, multiple TikTokers changed their profile pictures to the Ice Spice cult PFP. Various, viral TikToks surfaced going into February 2023 that urged others to join the cult. For instance, on February 14th, 2023, TikToker^[3] @thootervsp posted a screen recording that showed multiple Ice Spice cult PFPs in their follower list, earning roughly 82,100 plays and 5,300 likes in six days (shown below, left). On February 18th, TikToker^[4] @i0v3ssve posted a "green boat" CapCut template that publicized the Ice Spice cult, earning roughly 2.4 million plays and 320,100 likes in two days (shown below, right).

The aforementioned "green boat" video sparked viral awareness of the Ice Spice cult. Notable TikTokers began making videos about the cult, such as TikToker^[5] @noahglenncarter on February 19th, 2023, who received roughly 2.4 million plays and 267,300 likes in one day (shown below).
