The earliest known post following the phrasal template "I was born in the right generation, I love da internet" is a June 29th, 2023, post on Instagram by user @epicgamergirl562,[1] where they share a story originally posted by @numba1shoplifter writing that they love the band Shoreline Mafia. The post gathered over 4,000 likes in nine months (seen below).

On July 19th, 2023, the X[2] account @ThrowingFits made a version of the meme that read, "I was born in the right generation, I love da internet and taking fit pics," gathering over 2,000 likes in nine months (seen below, left). On November 4th, X[3] user @pandulcecat posted a version of the meme that read, "I love da internet and Chief Keef," gathering over 16,000 likes in four months (seen below, right).

On January 24th, 2024, the Instagram[4] page @lilcasper.exe made a version of the meme with the image tilted, filtered and edited to read "I love da internet and fortnite," gathering over 6,000 likes in three months (seen below, left). A meme posted by @urmommy_________[5] on March 11th, 2024, gathered over 11,000 likes in a week (seen below, right).
