The sound was uploaded in May 2022 and was used over 100,000 times that month in videos where TikTokers use the sound over footage of puppies and dogs.

On February 19th, 2022, TikToker^[1] @little.blooming.women posted a video where a young girl says, "I just a baby," in response to her mom trying to get her to say "ok," gaining over 82 million views in three months (shown below).

I Was Born A Cat

On April 26th, 2022, TikToker^[2] @gangstercatsofficial posted a video over cat footage where a TTS voice says, "I was born a cat, I identify as a cat, but according to my mom," followed by the audio clip of the young girl saying, "I just a baby," gaining over 124,000 views in a month (shown below). The original sound inspired over 5,000 videos in a month showcasing cute footage of cats.

On May 1st, 2022, TikToker^[3] @rott_n_chugs posted a video over footage of a puppy where a child, voicing the puppy, says, "I was born a dog, I identify as a dog, but according to my mom," followed by the young girl saying, "I just a baby," gaining over a million views in two weeks (shown below).

The original sound for "I was born a dog" went viral over the course of May, inspiring over 100,000 videos by the 19th. The majority of videos show cute footage of puppies and dogs over the quote. For example, on May 2nd, TikTokers^[4]^[5] @sterlingshadow2 and @goldenbearollie posted videos using the sound, gaining over 9.4 million and 9.7 million views respectively in two weeks (shown below, left and right). On May 13th, Distractify^[6] reported on the trend, followed by Dexerto^[7] on May 16th.
