About
I Turned To Look At Him or Johnny You Hit Me refers to a moment from the Amber Heard vs. Johnny Depp trial where Heard describes how Johnny slapped her as she walked out of the bedroom, followed by her turning around to look at him and say "Johnny you hit me." The moment was mentioned on May 4th, 2022, and went viral on TikTok that month in a series of lip dubs reenacting the scene, many pointing out how Heard says she "turned around" to look at him as evidence that she's lying.
Origin
On May 4th, 2022, Amber Heard took the stand during her trial vs. Johnny Depp. During the trial, Heard describes a number of instances where Depp allegedly hit her. At one point, Heard recalls a time when she denied having an affair with her ex-partner at the time to Depp. Depp allegedly claimed he had proof she cheated on him, Heard denied it and walked out of the bedroom, then Depp allegedly slapped her across the face. Heard says she turned to look at him and said, "Johnny you hit me, you just hit me" (shown below).[1]
On that day, TikTok[2] account @busteddddd__ posted the clip, captioned, "Don't you have to be looking at someone in the face to able to slap them across it, or?" gaining over 10.7 million views in five days (shown below).
