I Summon You To Fulfill Your Oath

"I summon you to fulfill your oath." is a famous quote from the 2003 film The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. It is commonly used as a reaction image.

Background

Prior to the events of the film, an army called "Men of the White Mountains" made an oath of allegiance to King Isildur, but later refused to honor it. As punishment, Isildur cursed them to not rest until they fight for him or one of his heirs upon request. The army then hid in the caves beneath Dwimorberg and eventually died of old age, but remained as ghosts due to their curse.^[1]

In the film, Aragon (Viggo Mortensen), who is Isildur's heir, ventures into their caves to request the army's aid in the coming war. He meets with the army's leader (Paul Norell) and says to him the line (at 3:47 in the clip below), offering them to finally rest once they've served him.

The army takes some convincing, but realizes that Aragon is indeed Isildur's heir and accepts his request. The army fights beside Aragon during a series of battles, after which he declares their oath fulfilled and let their spirits pass on.
