I Seent It is a series of reaction images based on a memorable quote from the 2008 action-comedy film Pineapple Express. Online, people use the term to express frustration of seeing the same thing multiple times.

Origin

On August 6th, 2008, the film Pineapple Express was released in the United States. A hitman named Matheson (played by Craig Robinson) tells his partner that he is no longer as brutal as he used to be. He says, "I seent you pull somebody jaw bone off! I seent it."

The earliest available usage of the image and phrase in a meme format was posted by FunnyJunk [1] user ztwentyonez on April 2nd, 2011. As of June 2018, the post has received more than 6,900 views.

On May 19th, 2012, Redditor [2] freakylol posted the image in the /r/trees subreddit with the title "My friend asked me if I wanted to see Pineapple Express." The post (shown below, left) received more than 850 points (89% upvoted) in six years.

Several months later, Redditor[3] Bama2089 posted the image with the caption "When a non-redditor shows you a 'new meme.'" The post received more than 1,000 points (85% upvoted).

On June 18th, 2014, Twitter [4] @kingbach tweeted the image and the comment, "When someone shows you a vine you’ve already seen." The post (shown below, center) received more than 640 retweets and 950 likes in four years.

Two years later, the social media account[5] FuckJerry posted the image with the comment, "When the 'storage full' notificiation keeps popping up on ur phone." The post (shown below, right) received more than 1,200 reactions and 370 shares in two years.

On June 4th, 2018, actor and star of the Blade films Wesley Snipes tweeted[6] a picture of someone opening a box with a Blade DVD. He captioned the photo, "For everyone that sends me this photo 300 times a day … I SEENT IT!!! I SEENT IT! I SEENT IT! 😂" The post (shown below, left) receied more than 38,000 retweets and 129,000 likes in two days.

He followed the tweet by posting the image macro from Pineapple Express, which received more than 700 retweets and 7,000 lieks in 48 hours (shown below, right).
