I Kissed Her

I Kissed Her, also known as Unhappy Audios Challenge, is a TikTok video series in which participants humorously lip dub a dramatic scene from the 2006 romantic comedy-drama film The Last Kiss.

Origin

On September 10th, 2006, the film The Last Kiss was released. During the film, the character Michael (played by Zach Braff) is confronted by his pregnant girlfriend Jenna (played by Jacinda Barrett) about seeing another woman, leading Michael to confess "I kissed her" (shown below).

The exact origin of the parody series on TikTok is unclear. On December 10th, 2018, TikTok user @lilhuddy uploaded a video in which he is shown smiling and dancing while lip dubbing Michael's voice in an audio clip from the film scene (shown below). Over the next month, the video gathered upwards of 246,000 likes, 88,800 shares and 2,500 comments.

On December 11th, the Cool TikToks YouTube channel uploaded a compilation of TikTok videos parodying scene (shown below).

On December 13th, 2018, TikTok user @mxmtoon uploaded a TikTok duet video using the @lilhuddy clip, gaining over 230,000 likes, 19,400 shares and 1,400 comments within one month (shown below, left).

On January 3rd, a similar compilation was uploaded by YouTuber Challenge 2019 (shown below, left). On January 9th, 2019, YouTuber PewDiePie featured the duet in a video titled "Tik Tok Gamer Girls" (shown below, right). Within 24 hours, the video accumulated more than 4.7 million views and 32,000 comments.
