Online, users have used a screenshot of Stevens saying the line as the punchline to jokes about choosing death over menial tasks and minor hardships.

The screenshot is taken from the Mind Field episode entitled "Should I Die?" which was uploaded to YouTube on December 26th, 2018 (preview below).[1] The episode sees Stevens talking to experts about death and what happens to deceased human bodies. At the end of the episode, he tells one of the experts, "I have decided that I want to die."

On January 2nd, 2019, Redditor [2] ValgoBoi posted the image in the /r/memes subreddit. They captioned the post "Me:*in the middle of doing something important on my computer* / my computer:" (which indicates that the computer wants to die). The post received more than 44,900 points (94% upvoted) and 250 comments in two days (shown below, left).

The following day, Redditor[3] Qthechrisman posted a photoshopped version of the image, referencing the Queen of England Death Predictions. The post received more than 10,000 points (98% upvoted) and 50 comments in 24 hours (shown below, center).

Over the next day, more users began posting variations that use the image (example below, right).
