About

I Got Too Drunk and Rode the Mechanical Bull 3 Times On Our First Date refers to memes and jokes about a viral debate discussing whether riding a mechanical bull at a bar as a man is a "manly" enough activity. Mechanical Bull discourse may have started with a July 2024 segment on the podcast High Maintenance, during which host Thicki Lake @ShyThugg talked about getting the ick after her date got too excited to ride the mechanical bull at a bar. In May 2025, X user @gloless tweeted, "Girl just told me she ghosted me because I got too drunk and rode the mechanical bull 3 times on our first date," prompting a new round of memes and discourse about men riding mechanical bulls.
