I Got a Glock In My 'Rari refers to the 2015 Fetty Wap song "679," which features the lyrics, "I got a Glock in my 'Rari, 17 shots, no .38." In the years following its release, the lyrics and catchphrase became the subject of memes, including image macros. Throughout the 2020s, the song became popularized in ironic memes and bait-and-switch memes on YouTube, sometimes paired with the Wade-LeBron's Dunk Picture format.

Origin

On June 29th, 2015, Fetty Wap released his song "679" featuring Remy Boyz. On July 8th, the music video was released on YouTube, garnering over 449 million views in eight years (shown below). The lyric "I got a Glock in my 'Rari" refers to possessing a Glock, a gun manufacturer that makes pistols, in his Ferrari.

One of the earliest memes to reference the song was posted by Twitter[1] user @nstangoo on September 8th, 2015, and shows a decorative wall sticker with the lyrics, "I got a glock in my rari," writing, "If this isn't the most inspirational thing you've ever seen then Idek what kind of poetry you read," garnering over 26,000 likes in eight years (shown below).

Throughout the 2020s, the clip of the song in which Fetty Wap sings "I got a glock in my rari" became popularized on YouTube in ironic memes, compilation videos and bait-and-switch memes. On December 17th, 2020, YouTuber[2] armarda posted a bait-and-switch video using the song, garnering over 93,000 views in just over two years (shown below, left). On December 9th, 2021, YouTuber[3] Lydeart posted a similar video, garnering over 234,000 views in just over a year (shown below, right).

Some of the most prominent videos using the song share compilations of Wade-LeBron's Dunk Picture memes. For example, on July 21st, 2022, YouTuber[4] Mended Cargo posted a version of the meme that garnered over 978,000 views in seven months (shown below).

On December 14th, YouTuber[5] Andres Plays posted a Family Guy version of the meme, garnering over 565,000 views in two months (shown below).
