I Care + I Asked + Smile About It is a catchphrase and copypasta that acts as the opposite of the L + Ratio phrasal template, typically used as a wholesome and uplifting alternative to the meme. The phrase was initially used in January 2022 and first applied to a meme on iFunny that February, gaining viral spread over the following months as users applied the caption to other images.
Origin
On January 18th, 2022, Twitter[1] user @AquaDrinksWater posted a long-form parody of the "L + Ratio" phrasal template written to be positive rather than negative, garnering around 3 likes in a year. This is the earliest known example of a version of the copypasta. On February 14th, 2022, iFunny[2] user Raccoozs posted a smiling GigaChad meme captioned with a long-form parody of the "L + Ratio" phrasal template written to be positive rather than negative, garnering over 600 smiles in a year (shown below). This is the earliest known meme to use the phrase.

Spread
The catchphrase spread over the following months, largely through image macros where it is applied to new characters. For example, on June 3rd, 2022, Twitter[3] user @AmongUsGame posted an Among Us version of the meme that garnered over 15,900 likes in a year (shown below).
On August 12th, Tumblr[4] user steven-scribbleverse posted a version of the meme referencing Steven Universe that garnered over 1,000 notes in 10 months (shown below, left). On April 7th, 2023, Twitter[5] user @elyvtra_ posted an Omori meme using the phrase that gained over 1,100 likes in two months (shown below, right).
