"I Believe In Joe Hendry," also known for its lyrics, Say His Name and He Appears, is Scottish professional wrestler Joe Hendry's entrance theme song, which he also wrote, performed and produced. Hendry released the song in October 2019 along with a music video, releasing a second music video in 2023. In late April 2024, the song was officially released as a single on streaming platforms, with Hendry running a social media campaign to promote it that included posting memes using the song. Following its release, the song briefly took the number-one spot on the iTunes U.K. Daily Sales charts before purportedly being overtaken by Taylor Swift.

Origin

Professional wrestler Joe Hendry is known to produce his own theme music for his wrestling entrances. During his TNA Wrestling era, for example, he produced a theme song that was posted to the TNA Wrestling YouTube[1] page in 2018, garnering over 87,000 views in six years.

On October 30th, 2019, Joe Hendry posted a new theme song and music video to YouTube[2] titled "'Wave Your Hands' (I Believe In Joe Hendry)," garnering over 213,000 views in five years (shown below, left). On February 16th, 2023, he released a second music video for the song to YouTube,[3] garnering over 521,000 views in a year (shown below, right).

In April 2024, Joe Hendry began posting memes to Instagram[4] and TikTok[5][6] in which he is edited appearing in scenes from various movies and TV shows alongside his song, with one example on April 8th, 2024, garnering over 200,000 views in a month (shown below, left, additional example shown below, right).

The song began to spread on TikTok, inspiring others to use it. For example, on April 23rd, TikToker[7] @ant.ho.kn33 posted a video dancing to the song, garnering over 158,000 views in a week (shown below).

On April 24th, 2024, Hendry posted a video to TikTok[8] in which he announced that the song would be officially released as a single on April 29th, encouraging viewers to pre-save and play the song to boost it in the charts, garnering over 372,000 views in a week (shown below).

On the day of the song's release, 411Mania[9] and SESCOOPS[10] reported that "I Believe In Joe Hendry" reached the number-one spot on iTunes' U.K. Daily Sales charts. That day, Hendry posted another video to TikTok[11] encouraging viewers to keep the song at the top, garnering over 500,000 views in two days (shown below, left).

On April 30th, he posted a video to TikTok[12] singing a song about how Taylor Swift took over his spot on the charts, garnering over 200,000 views in a day (shown below, right).
