Spread

The post quickly inspired edits that made it appear as though a fictional character was saying it. For example, on April 14th, 2021, Tumblr user turtle-ly^[2] posted an image macro pairing the quote with a picture of Catra from She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, gaining over 200 notes (shown below, left). On October 28th, iFunny^[3] user senescene posted the quote next to a picture of Asuka from Neon Genesis Evangelion (shown below, right).
