"I Ain't Even Mad" is an expression indicating a lack of contempt which is sometimes used as a response to the question "U Mad?"

Origin

In the 2004 comedy film Anchorman, Ron Burgundy (played by Will Ferrell) says the line "I'm not even mad" in response to his dog Baxter supposedly confessing to eating an entire wheel of cheese:

What? You pooped in the refrigerator? And you ate the whole… wheel of cheese? How'd you do that? Heck, I'm not even mad; that's amazing. How 'bout we get you in your p.j.'s and we hit the hay.

The phrase "I ain't even mad" has been heard in hip hop and R&B lyrics, most notably in Cherish's 2008 R&B single "I Ain't Trippin'" and Young Money Entertainment's 2009 hit rap single BedRock.

On October 13th, 2009, Urban Dictionary^[1] user jesujuicejones submitted an entry for "I ain't even mad."

On August 19th, 2010, YouTuber Derick Fiebiger uploaded a video titled "Derick A – Aint Even Mad," featuring a screen captured image of Will Smith from the television series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air accompanied by a song titled "Ain't Even Mad" playing in the background (shown below).

On November 4th, 2011, Redditor adjective-noun submitted a rage comic with the same Will Smith screen capture and the caption "I AIN'T EVEN MAD" to the f7u12^[4] subreddit (shown below). Prior to being archived, the post gained over 7,900 up votes and 180 comments.

On April 10th, 2012, a Quickmeme^[2] page titled "Ain't Even Mad Fresh Prince" was created, featuring the Will Smith screen capture with captions ending with "I Ain't Even Mad" (shown below, left). On August 27th, a rage comic featuring a modified Y U NO Guy with the caption "I ain't even mad" was highlighted on the Cheezburger site Memebase^[3] (shown below, right).

On November 24th, Redditor Twistatron submitted an image macro featuring photographs of a disfigured man with a prosthetic face and the caption "I ain't even mad" (shown below, left) to the /r/WTF^[5] subreddit, which accumulated upwards of 9,300 up votes and 500 comments prior to being archived. On December 11th, Redditor Fidena posted an image macro of a man wearing a stoic expression while being cooked alive with the caption "I ain't even mad" (shown below, right) to the /r/funny^[6] subreddit. Before the post was archived, it received over 9,700 up votes and 175 comments.
