I Actually Do Cuss A Little or What's Your Favorite Curse Word refers to a viral clip of Miranda Cosgrove, known best for the TV show iCarly, saying that her favorite curse word is probably "fuck" on a 2020 episode of Whitney Cummings' podcast "Good For You." The clip resurfaced on TikTok in March 2022 and went viral as an original sound in lip dubs and comedy skits that month.

Origin

On August 14th, 2020, Miranda Cosgrove appeared on Whitney Cummings' podcast "Good For You" to promote the iCarly reboot. Around the 1:31:33 mark, Cosgrove says, "I actually do cuss a little," and Cummings asks, "What's your favorite curse word?" Cosgrove then responds, "Probably 'fuck.'" The episode gained over 936,000 views on YouTube^[1] in two years.

On March 7th, 2022, TikToker^[2] @clint_stafford90 posted the clip to his page, captioned, "she ate," gaining over 14 million views in just over a week (shown below). The clip was also posted by Twitter^[10] user @_kCarly_ on the same day, gaining over 158,000 likes and 12,000 retweets in the same span of time.

The original sound went viral that month, inspiring over 215,000 videos in just over a week. The majority of the videos are comedic lip dubs and skits. On March 13th, TikToker^[5] @curlyfuq posted a video lip dubbing to the original sound, gaining over 18.8 million views in five days (shown below, left). On March 15th, TikToker^[6] Noah Beck posted a video lip dubbing to the sound, gaining over 14 million views in three days (shown below, right).

On March 17th, actors and TikTokers^[7]^[8] Skai Jackson and Josh Peck, the former her co-star on Drake and Josh, posted lip dub videos to the sound, gaining over 4.8 million and 13.5 million views in a day respectively (shown below, left and right).

On the same day, Whitney Cummings responded to the clip's virality on her Instagram^[3] and TikTok^[4] pages in a lip dub video captioned, "Thrilled that my most popular contribution to society is getting a Nickelodeon star to say f***," gaining over 11,000 likes on the former and a million views on the latter in under a day (shown below). Yahoo! Life^[9] and BuzzFeed^[11] reported on the trend on the same day.
