How X Would Walk Down the Spirit Tunnel refers to a series of video caption memes based on several montages of celebrities walking down the "Spirit Tunnel" on The Jennifer Hudson's Show. The memes imagine how characters from various fandoms would walk down, or dance down, comparing them to various celebrities who performed the walk. The format achieved popularity on TikTok in late March 2025.

Origin

On The Jennifer Hudson Show, "Spirit Tunnel" is a pre-show segment during which guests walk to the stage by passing through a hallway lined by show's staff members while they hype them up with chants based on guest's names and notable works. The guests often dance or perform other moves while walking down the Spirit Tunnel (example video^[1] of comedian Druski walking down the tunnel in February 2025 shown below).

On March 14th, 2025, TikTok^[2] user @yuujii23 posted a montage of Ethan Slater, Kevin Hart, Druski and other several other celebrities doing walk the Spirit Tunnel set to `"Murda She Wrote (Jersey Mix)" by King Trilla X and captioned, "how I think _"Jujutsu Kaisen":https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/subcultures/jujutsu-kaisen_ characters would walk through the spirit tunnel". The post (shown below) garnered over 2.3 million views and 449,000 likes in one month.

Later on March 14th, 2025, TikTok^[3] user @chl0eaf posted captioned the montage, "how I think _"Death Note":https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/subcultures/death-note_ characters would walk down the spirit tunnel". The post (shown below) received over 165,000 views and 33,000 likes in one month.

In the following weeks, multiple users posted more caption memes based on this edit, as well as other montages of Spirit Tunnel walks, setting them to "Murder She Wrote", "1 AM" and other songs. For example, on March 16th, 2025, TikTok^[4] user @taehyunsethiopiangf posted Invincible version of the meme that received over 1.8 million views and 344,000 likes in one day (shown below).

On March 28th, 2025, TikTok^[5] user @holysmok3ss_ posted a Viggle.ai Invincible edit that received over 190,000 views and 29,000 likes in three weeks (shown below).

On April 2nd, 2025, X^[6] user @invincibleFan_ reposted the AI edit, with the post gaining over 1.1 million views, 1,300 reposts and 22,000 likes in two weeks.
