Spread

Over the following days, other Twitter users began using the template, often with similarly flirtatious punchlines as the original. On July 4th, 2022, Twitter user @missanniemburu^[2] tweeted, "Heyyyy ( with intentions of being yours )," gaining over 310 retweets and 1,400 likes in 10 days (shown below, left). On July 7th, Twitter user @vi0lentdelightz^[3] tweeted, "hey (with the intention of being loved obsessively)," receiving over 50 likes in six days (shown below, right).

Punchlines began growing more creative over the following week. On July 12th, Twitter user @faramirsangel^[4] tweeted, "hey [with intention of forcing you to watch lord of the rings]," gaining over 5,500 retweets and 33,000 likes in two days (shown below, left).
