Hey, I'm Justin Bieber / AND…? refers to an exploitable rage comic template that shows Justin Bieber greeting three Derpinas who are unphased by his presence, however, they're ecstatic over who is presented in the third panel of the template. Currently, the earliest known iteration was shared on the website WeHeartIt in 2013 although the link is defunct. Starting in 2021, the comic was re-edited by many meme creators on Instagram, Twitter and Reddit who inserted different characters, celebrities and internet personalities into the third panel for the Derpinas to be excited about.

Origin

On November 15th, 2013, since-deleted WeHeartIt^[1] user KNLS posted a rage comic using three Derpinas who are greeted by a photo of Justin Bieber who says, "Hey, I'm Justin Bieber," to which the Derpinas reply, "AND…?" In the third panel, singer-songwriter Corey Taylor is visible, who says, "Hey, I'm…" to which the Derpinas interrupt, saying, "COREY TAYLOR!!!" (shown below). The meme received an unknown amount of engagement but is traceable via reverse image sources like TinEye.^[2]

The meme was reposted to Instagram on October 24th, 2021, by Instagram^[3] user inhalemybees, gaining roughly 36,200 likes in a year and a half.

Spread

Following Instagram user inhalemybees' post, the meme took off en masse, garnering multiple iterations that surfaced in late 2021. For instance, on October 28th, 2021, Instagram^[4] user neutralmilkmemes posted an iteration with Will Toledo from Car Seat Headrest, gaining roughly 4,100 likes in a year and a half (shown below, left). On October 30th, 2021, Instagram^[5] user papa.panara posted an iteration with a lobster stuffed animal named "Lober," gaining roughly 3,700 likes in the same time period (shown below, right).

The meme then spread elsewhere, like on October 29th, 2021, Twitter^[6] user cutegirlnearyou tweeted an iteration showing the Autism Creature, gaining roughly 19,500 likes in a year and a half (shown below, left). In mid-2022, the template surfaced on Reddit's /r/OkBuddyRetard, ^[7] with an iteration uploaded by Redditor royal-seal on March 17th, 2022, that referenced Doug Dimmadome from The Fairly Oddparents. The meme received roughly 2,200 upvotes in ten months (shown below, right).
